Pack and Ship vs. In-Person Events: Which One Fits Your Team

These two formats get compared as if they are competing versions of the same thing. They are not. An in-person build is an event: your team gathers, packs kits with their own hands, and walks away with a shared afternoon. Pack & Ship is charitable giving: you choose the cause and how far it should reach, our team packs every kit, and we deliver them to organizations serving your own communities under your company's name. Nobody from your side is in the room, because there is no room.

Pick the in-person build when your people can actually be in one place. What you are buying is attendance, and there is no substitute for it. Hands on supplies, a pallet filling up, a count everyone watched climb. That is what people remember a year later, and it is why we still recommend it first whenever the calendar allows.

Pick Pack & Ship when the calendar does not allow it. Distributed headcount, a quarter with no free afternoon, a December that is already full, a team you cannot pull off the floor. The giving still happens, and it is not limited by how many people fit around tables, so a forty-person company can reach further than any forty-person afternoon ever could. You get the same impact report either way: kit counts, receiving organizations by name, and the neighbors they reach.

Plenty of companies do both in the same year. A flagship in-person build for the experience, and Pack & Ship to carry the giving through the quarters where getting everyone together was never going to happen.
