What Your Board Actually Wants From a CSR Event Report
Most post-event impact reports stop at three numbers: kits assembled, volunteer hours, and estimated dollar value of goods donated. That is enough for a newsletter. It is not enough for a board presentation or an annual report.
What leadership is really asking is who showed up. Kits built is the output. Headcount is the input, and it is the number most lines in an engagement budget cannot produce on demand. Report the kits, the hours, and the organizations that received them, because the kits are what make the headcount believable. Nobody stands at a packing table to fill in a survey.
A complete post-event report connects: kits built and delivered, the receiving organizations by name, and volunteer hours logged. That is the document that funds next year's event.
